Olonzac, Minervois village is in the heart of cathar country, Olonzac is a circulade, the center of the village who the plan has not changed since the midle ages is surrounded by boulevards built in place of the old molt outside the walls.

But there are also a multitude of picturesque villages:

Area...

From 5 Minutes to Olonzac , Lake Jouarres , is a place of many water sports : swimming , canoeing , windsurfing or just picnic on the lawn . In the evening, the bar - restaurant " Guinguette " offers musical evenings at the water's edge admiring the beautiful sunset to end the day smoothly.

Cycling is very common : The banks of the Canal du Midi offer a path where we walk to bike or walk from one village to another, from one lock to another safely. For more experienced cyclists , the road to "Minerve", Cathar site offers a challenge as seen in the Tour de France !

A break is in Carcassonne city classified as World Heritage by UNESCO , its picturesque streets and the medieval citadel that dominates the landscape are 35 minutes.

The Mediterranean beaches are 45 minutes away and the birthplace of Charles Trenet , Narbonne, with its magnificent cathedral , its narrow streets full of enticing shops is  to 30 minutes. The first stone of the unfinished Cathedral St Just and Saint Pasteur was laid in 1272. The Canal de la Robine is connected to the Canal du Midi and the Aude River by a canal junction .

Five of his land are classified AOC (Saint Chinian, Minervois, Faugères, Clairette du Languedoc Coteaux du Languedoc). Don't forget Limoux, lovely old town and its walls and its famous sparkling wine: "la blanquette de Limoux" !!!  Winemakers open their doors to tourists areas who want to enjoy their product.
